The problem: An entrepreneur with 20 years in bartending needed a platform to connect event hosts with service workers — no transparent pricing existed in the industry.
The outcome: Built a two-sided marketplace with real-time booking, transparent pricing, messaging, and a check-in/check-out system. 90% MVP complete with 70+ workers onboarded.
Bill Tracker
The problem: A client managed 25+ recurring bills in a 6-year-old spreadsheet. They needed a real application but couldn't lose their familiar workflow.
The outcome: Designed and built a comprehensive bill tracking app with draft mode for payment planning, credit card logic, and a real-time "Money Left" calculator — while preserving the spreadsheet mental model.
Business Tax Buddy
The problem: A solo freelancer juggling multiple revenue streams needed to track income, expenses, and quarterly tax payments — but generic accounting software was overkill for a one-person operation.
The outcome: Built a custom PWA that handles IRS self-employment tax calculations, Upwork fee breakdowns, quarterly payment tracking, and expense categorization — all accessible from a phone.
The Chicken Cart
The problem: A beloved Texas restaurant established in 1996 was stuck with an outdated WordPress site using embedded PDF menus — no online ordering, no mobile experience, no way to update without regenerating files.
The outcome: Replaced WordPress with a modern React single-page app featuring an interactive data-driven menu, integrated DoorDash ordering, and professional food photography — menu updates are now a one-line edit.
